This is one of our all-time favorite recipes! This Iced Brown Butter Latte is a rich, caramelized take on your classic iced coffee. Made with browned butter, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt, it delivers a perfectly balanced sip—sweet, salty, and oh-so-smooth.

Ingredients:
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup milk (or alternative)
- 1-2 shots espresso (or ½ cup strong brewed coffee)
- A pinch of sea salt
- 1 cup ice
Instructions:
- Brown the butter & sugar – In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once it begins to foam, stir in the brown sugar and continue cooking until the mixture turns golden and caramel-like (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat and stir in a pinch of sea salt.
- Mix with milk – Pour the brown butter mixture into the milk and use a milk frother to mix.
- Brew your espresso – Prepare 1-2 shots of espresso or a strong cup of coffee.
- Assemble the latte – Fill a glass with ice, pour in brown butter milk, and top with the espresso. Stir to combine.
- Garnish & enjoy – Sprinkle with a tiny extra pinch of sea salt or brown sugar for a gourmet touch! Then, sip, savor, and enjoy!
💡 Pro Tip: Add a splash of vanilla or dash of cinnamon for an extra flavor twist!

Brown Butter Syrup Storage & Shelf Life
To make prepping your Iced Brown Butter Latte even easier, you can batch-make the brown butter syrup and store it for future use. After making a batch of syrup, let it cool and then store it using these tips:
- Separation Tip: Since butter and sugar can separate over time, warm the syrup a little bit, then shake or whisk it before adding it to your coffee for the best consistency.
- Refrigeration: Store the syrup in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 1 week. The butter will naturally solidify, so give it a good stir or gently warm it before using.
- Freezing: For longer storage, freeze in an ice cube tray and transfer the cubes to a sealed bag. It will last up to 1 month in the freezer. Just thaw a cube in the fridge overnight or warm it slightly before using.

Take it on the go!
Enjoy your Iced Brown Butter Latte wherever your day takes you! A good to-go cup keeps your drink fresh, prevents spills, and makes sipping effortless on the move. Plus, it’s reusable and eco-friendly!
